Institutional Position and Protection Plan Regarding the Developments in Türkiye

1. Situation Summary
Recent civil unrest and the closure of certain universities in Türkiye have significantly impacted academic and scientific communities. This includes individuals affiliated with Eolisa Space who, despite their non-involvement in political activity, have found themselves in affected areas due to circumstances beyond their control.
As Sentinel Alpha, we are closely monitoring the situation and have completed all necessary assessments to ensure that none of our Space Pioneers, students, scientists, operational teams, or affiliated contributors face undue hardship or disruption.
2. Eolisa Space’s Institutional Position
Eolisa Space is not aligned with any political, ideological, or religious entity or movement.
We operate with a vision rooted in science, reason, and the dignity of humanity.
From the outset, all individuals involved in Eolisa Space have agreed—through formal commitments—not to participate in political or ideological activism as part of their membership in our organization.
Nevertheless, several of our students and team members currently residing in Türkiye have been negatively affected by recent events, not due to personal involvement, but simply by being present in environments impacted by these developments.
This statement is not a political reaction.
It is a response born from our duty to defend the rights, safety, and dignity of those within our institution—especially when they are vulnerable due to conditions they did not choose.
Our institutional culture is guided by the following principles:
• Scientific Freedom: The right to think, express, and create must be protected unconditionally.
• Commitment to Human Rights: Every individual is entitled to freedom, safety, and respect—without exception.
• Institutional Neutrality: Eolisa Space functions globally, independent of any national, governmental, or political alignment.
To uphold these values is not just an ethical responsibility—it is the foundation of who we are.
3. Actions Taken & Support Mechanisms
In light of current developments, Sentinel Alpha has activated the following protective measures:
• Ongoing monitoring of events and their potential impact on Eolisa Space personnel
• Secure internal channels for risk reporting and personal assistance
• Readiness to provide legal, emotional, and logistical support where needed
• Coordination with external partners to ensure continued access to resources and safe communication
These efforts are strictly focused on the well-being, access to education, and personal safety of our members.
